Duplicate Stitch in Columns was demonstrated at the April meeting.  Using a crochet hook it is easy to make great looking vertical lines.

Visit www.knitting-and.com/knitting/tips/dup-st.htm for detailed instructions.

Pat Haden completed a Pink & Lavender scarf for her granddaughter.  Great Job Pat!  Glad to have you back "Knitting".

Shirley Birkey made a "Sandi Cherry" tank top, after seeing her in Grand Rapids.  Shirley didn't make the front and back different colors, but she did make them different textures.

I promised a report on the "Instant STITCH" software program that I purchased.  For the low cost of the program I think it is really great.  I have loaded the two programs related to knitting and found them to be GREAT!  The 'Sweater Program' gives written directions, which DAK does not give you.  The 'Knit Notebook' is a great program set up to keep track of your projects, handle your yarn inventory and catalog your books, patterns, and magazines.
Again I purchased the program at Best Buy for $19.00.  Well worth the cost and I haven't even loaded the other two programs that came in the package.

May 2nd and 3rd - 25th Anniversary of "Spring Fling".  Hope to see you there!

May 10th - Pam will be walking for MS.  If you would like to make a donation, please let Pam know.

June 19th - General Meeting will be at the home of Linda Carney.  Don't forget to make a "Red Hat" or something with a "Red Hat" on it.  We will be celebrating Linda's Red Hat Birthday!

Had a Great Demonstration at Hobby Lobby on Saturday April 26th.  Several "owners" of knitting machines stopped and chatted. Hope to see them at our upcoming General Meetings and Open Knitting.
