 Our July meeting was held at the home of Mary Nordstrom.  Pam Schulz provided handouts and sample "Filet-Knit".  For those of you that are on the "DAK Learn-A-Long" via Yahoo, you will find a file that you can print off with instructions for "Filet Crochet to Filet Knit" written by Barbara  L. Schroeder DAK-Learnalong.  Also, "Janet Pace Designs" at www.janetpacedesings.com/idex.html has pattern books that have the designs already converted from Crochet to Knitting. 

This type of lace knitting is easy to do and does not require DAK 7 or the Lace Tool.

The sample was knitted on the Brother 970 with stitch size 10 and Silk City Cotton.

This newsletter is rather short and to the point.  We are currently undergoing a renovation of our kitchen, and I have spent many hours removing the contents of each cabinet and drawer.  It didn't help that Fred "fried" a circuit trying to install an outlet for our new over-the-stove microwave oven.  We didn't have lights in the kitchen, garage, or basement for several days.  The electrician did arrive and after scratching his head several times, found the source of our problem and did get it fix.  It is wonderful to have lights again.
