We met at the home of Shirley Reznik in November for our General Meeting. The following are pictures of the show & tell items brought by members. Click on the picture to view a larger detailed picture.
Robin
Linton designed a "Buzz Lightyear" sweater for her Number 1 Grandson. If
you are interested in the design for your own "Toy Story" fan - let Robin know.
Pam used up cone ends from Charity Yarn to make a very colorful poncho that was donated to "The Center for The Homeless". Two other unfinished project were completed, the wool felted hat, and the Red Heart Sport Weight "Polo" hand manipulated lace cardigan. The yarn created a very interesting pattern.
Shirley
was busy making sweaters to send to her grandchildren for Christmas. Some
are finished and other are underway - but should be complete before they need to
be shipped.

Open Knitting Change
Fred is scheduled for surgery on Thursday January 9th and Friday January 10th. He will be in pain per the doctor when he comes home on the 9th. So - No Open Knitting on January 9th. As always, there is open knitting by appointment - just give me a call to make sure that I am going to be home. (574) 277-6513
Charity Donation December 2002
We were able to donate 27 hats and one poncho to "The Center For The Homeless" in South Bend, Indiana. Thank you Shirley Reznik for the supply of yarn that made this donation possible. Also, thanks to all that took the time to knit a hat or two with the yarn provided.

Charity Knit - In 2003
Scheduled for
Saturday February 22, 2003
From 8:30 a.m. to ????
at the home of Pam Schulz
We will trade in our normal "general meeting" for a Saturday of knitting. Coffee and breakfast munchies along with Sloppy Joes will be provided by Pam. Please bring a dish to share, stay and knit, sew, and share the fun. You can bring your own yarn and machine - or use the yarns and machines available. There are many needy organizations in our area. Hannah's House is one that has been mentioned in the past. Come and knit hats, mittens, scarves, blankets or baby sweaters - what ever you want to knit and donate to charity.
Don't forget to bring your "Show & Tell" to share with everyone.
