The 'project of the month' is "Pockets"

Yes, we have moved and are now completely under one roof.

Our new home is located in the Bridlewood Subdivision off Adams Road in Granger, Indiana.  If you are traveling from the South, you will come North to State Road 23.  Turn North on Elm Road at the New Fire Station and new Library (under construction).  You will have a stop sign at Adams.  Turn Right (East) onto Adams.  You won't go far and you will see the signage for Bridlewood.  Turn Right (South) onto Bridlewood.  Stay to the right of the circle and take the first right off the circle to stay on Bridlewood.  Turn Right (West) onto Coach Circle Drive.  Turn Right (North) onto Blue Grass Court.  Our home is at the end of the court.

If you are coming off the toll-road, you will exit at the Mishawaka exit.  Turn Right (North) onto Capital.  At the stop light, turn Right (East) onto State Road 23.  Continue East until you reach Elm (fire station).  Follow the directions above.

February we visited "Knitting Today" in Wolcottville, IN.  Pam demonstrated two different buttonhole methods.  One for knit bands and the other in a ribbed band.

LeaAnn had a trunk show from KangaMooKnits that we were able to enjoy.  Several great patterns were available.

LeaAnn is showing one of the fun felted hats with a "FunFur" brim.  All knitted on the knitting machine.

Robin is checking out the trunk show items and patterns.

LeaAnn purchased a unique trestle table that was converted to hold two knitting machines, cast-on combs and cones of yarn.  Check out the pictures. This first one shows the slot in the top of the table that allows the yarn to feed up from under the table.

This picture shows the tray that was added under the front edge to hold your cast-on combs.

Under the table an extra shelf was added with spindles to hold cones of yarn.

Linda created buttonholes using I-Cords and this book.

Linda also brought a collection of hats that her son asked 'mom'to make.

LeaAnn finished knitting the leg of her daughters sock on the knitting machine and took it off onto knitting needles to work the toe by hand.

We also had a chance to check out some great novelty yarn that LeaAnn has in her shop.  If you cannot visit her shop in person, she has a great mail order service.  Check our her website at www.knittingtoday.com

April 15, 2004 - After you file your taxes come on over to Pam's for our General Meeting.  Try your hand at a NEW "Hem Technique".  There are several types of hems.  Check out your knitting books, patterns and magazines.  Try a new technique and report to the group if you like the results, was it easy or hard, what would you change.

May 20, 2004 - Our General Meeting will be at the home of Robin Linton.  The project of the month is "Intarsia".  Don't forget - there is a Jester Hat pattern on this website.  Intarsia is a great way to great "picture knitting" without floats.
