Project of the month "Bands" 

Try your hand at a new "band" technique and bring to share the results and method with the group.  You don't have to produce an entire garment, swatches with a band technique is good.

Keep Jackie and Pat in your thoughts and prayers.  Jackie lost her mother last month and Pat is having surgery on July 7th.

October Meeting Change - We have been invited to "Knitting Today".  The Fort Wayne Bond Club and the Creative Machine Knitting Club from Fort Wayne have joined forces and will be holding their meeting the second Saturday of October at "Knitting Today".  Lea-Ann mentioned that our group also meets on the second Saturday.  The group would love to meet other knitters in the area and share ideas and show-n-tell.  Lea-Ann is working on a demonstration also for the day.  We just need to let her know how many will be attending to insure there are enough chairs and snacks.  So let me know if you would like to go so we can arrange for car pooling.

Show-N-Tell

Jackie made two afghans from KnitWords magazine.  One has Cat Faces and the other Dog Faces.  She use two strands of 2-24.

Jackie made these "No Shape Slipper Socks", that have a seam up each side, from the class she took at Spring Fling. Carole Wurst demonstrated the simple slipper pattern.

The Kniffty Knitter Looms can be found just about everywhere.  Pam demonstrated the technique for the rib stitch for this white hat.

Here are the hats and scarves made by Pam on the Kniffty Knitter Looms.  They will be donated to the Homeless Shelter and Hanna's House.

July 14-15, 2006 - Christmas In July, hosted by Knit Knack Shop at the Miami County Fairgrounds.  Class demonstrations by Joyce Banfi, Cathie Sanders and Tricia Shafer.  New this year is " Knitting Buddies".  Take a future knitter between the ages of 8-14 for free.  There will be hands on 'Make & Take' classes for the children.
