Our June Meeting was a 'Red Hat' Birthday Party for Linda Carney.  We had the honor of celebrating Linda's 50th birthday on her actual birthday at her home.  There were several different 'Red Hat' projects.  Check out the pictures below to see for yourself.

Jacke participated with a Red Hat via e-mail.  This is the Jester Hat Pattern worked in 4 sections similar to the way the 'upside down' sweaters are knitted.  Start with ribbing, divide into 4 sections, and then join as you knit each additional section.

Shirley Birkey and I took a road trip to LeaAnn's shop "Knitting Today" We found a great selection of the sock novelty yarn that creates a pattern when knitted along with other fancy yarns.  If you get the chance I recommend the trip.  A stop in Shipshewana gives you a nice break in the travel time.

'Just Knit It' has moved to 5462 Gull Road, Kalamazoo, MI  49048 (269) 349-KNIT (5648)  The shop is located in the East Edge Plaza, near K-Mart.

 12 noon to 5:30 pm Monday, Thursday, & Friday
10 am to 3 pm Saturday
Closed Sundays and Tuesdays

It is official - Fred has RETIRED as of June 27th
With that said, please call or email if you are planning to come over for Open Knitting on Thursdays - he has all day to plan where we should go to complete 'his day'.
