Jackie shared the following notes from the G-Carriage class at "Spring Fling":

Put super glue in the slots around the cord end that plugs into the g-carriage.  Let dry for 24 hours.  This will keep the cord from bending so much as it gets to the end of a row.  Bending caused the wires inside to weaken and break.

Turn g-carriage (regular and lace carriage) upside down and check to make sure nothing has attached itself to the magnets before putting on the machine.

Do not use the rails when using the g-carriage.  The g-carriage will not fall off even if you are using 200 stitches.  When the carriage goes onto the rails it sometimes causes the patter to read wrong or will drop stitches when it comes back on the machine.  When it goes off the machine to the rails it goes up and down and then down and up instead of a steady and smooth ride.

Do not put anything on the end of the cord that plugs into the g-carriage.  Some suggest an eraser, but it has bits of scrap inside and gets on the tip of the cord.  Twist the cord about five inches from the end and insert in the coiled cord.

Show-N-Tell

Shirley made a tuck stitch baby blanket for charity.

Jackie made a plated tuck stitch baby blanket for our charity collection.

Jackie made a navy blue cardigan and then embroidered with snowmen.  Check out the collection of holiday buttons for extra embellishment.

Jackie shared the website of http://www.mkdesigner.com/mkd_patterns.html  where she found the pattern that included this "Tuck Ribbon Trim" technique.

In the process of sorting through all my yarn, I am working to make projects from 'left-overs'.  Here is simple tuck stitch baby sweater and hat found in the "KnitWords" magazine.  Balance of the yarn was used to make a simple rolled brim baby hat.
