Since I have had problems with my server, time is short to get this newsletter out to you in a timely manner.

March Demonstration was a lesson in 'intarsia' on the Artisan mid-gauge machine.  A hand knit pattern was converted to a machine knit pattern that resulted in the multi color 'Jester Hat'.

Four colors of 'Red Heart Sport Weight' yarn were used to create this cute hat.  Tassels with jingle bells were added for extra fun.

The pattern will be published in the pattern section soon.  Check back.

Grand Rapids Area Machine Knitting Seminar was fun and well attended.  Pam was one of the 'Awesome Knitters' on Friday with her hand manipulated lace raglan sweater.

 
'School Spirit' sweaters were modeled by Jackie, Shirley and Pam at the Banquet Fashion Show.

Yvonne Rhodes' grand daughter played for those that attended the 'Banquet - Fashion Show'  A true delight and surprise to all.

May 2nd and 3rd - Spring Fling at The Knit Knack Shop in Peru, Indiana.  This will be their 25th Anniversary of "Spring Fling".

June 19 - General Meeting for Michiana Machine Knitters will be at the home of Linda Carney.  Knit a "RED HAT" or something with a "RED HAT" on it to celebrate Linda's Red Hat Birthday!

July 17th - General Meeting for Michiana Machine Knitters will be at the home of Glenya Erickson.  Bring a Red, White & Blue project to knit club.

July 18th and 19th - Christmas In July at The Knit Knack Shop in Peru, Indiana

August 21st - General Meeting for Michiana Machine Knitters will be at the home of Jackie Neely.  Bring a project with a "Leaf" motif.

Instant STITCH is a software program that I picked up at 'Best Buy' for $19.00.  I just loaded the program and haven't had time to play with it as of this newsletter.  I hope to play with it and let you know what I think.  It has a Stitch Creator for Cross Stitch, Sweater Designer, Patterns for Children, and Organized Expressions - a notebook and diary for organizing software for knitters and crocheters.
