Pattern Correction: Sue Ward found an error in the "Dove" pattern found in "Machine Knitting News" magazine, September 2002 issue. Change the "sleeve" instruction from "row 56 to row 36" and "row 60 to row 70".

I made a trip to LaGrange for the "Fall Hat Show" on September
21st. I had seen the Judith M advertisement in "Threads"
magazine over the years, but never actually went to the shop to check it out.
What a wonderful surprise! If you are in or near LaGrange, it is worth the
stop to see all the neat and unusual items the shop has to offer. All
kinds of neat trims, feathers, ribbons, and beads for hats. Finished Hat
and Hats to finish. Old and new jewelry along with hat pins. For
those of you looking for 'hat forms' she has a wide variety of sizes and styles.
The next scheduled events at Judith M are Thursday November 21 -
"Holiday Open House" from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Furs Galore! with
real and fine faux fur hats, bands, muffs, bags, mittens. "Hat Tea
Luncheon" will be held at M & N House - wear a hat with glitz and glamour.

I found "Fun Fur" by Lion
Brand Yarn in several colors. An "eye-lash" yarn. Great for accents.
Black and White are pictured above. "Glitterspun" (Lion Brand Yarn)
is a soft metallic yarn that again would make great accents. Try Manon's
e-wrap finishes that are taught in Series 1 Workshop #10.
Linda C and Mickey K from LaGrange discovered that Bernat's "Softee Baby" works
great on the standard bed machine when you use your Garter Carriage. The
skeins are 4 1/2 to 5 ounces. It takes just under three (3) skeins to make
a G-Carriage Baby Blanket. Readily available at local stores and the total
cost is less than $10.00.

Check It Out!
Charity Knitting - we still have a considerable supply of donated yarn. If you are interested in making hats, scarves or mittens for the less fortunate, you can stop by and pick up yarn, or come over and knit during "Open Knitting" on Thursday nights.
