Show-N-Tell
I attended the "Creative Machine Knitters" club meeting on September 9th.  They met at LeaAnn's shop and had lots of Show-N-Tell.  Here are some of the pictures and information that I gathered:
Georgia is modeling her neck warmer.  She hand knit this from an old pattern.  It has a knitted in open casing that accepts the opposite end of the neck warmer and helps to secure it in place.
Georgia expanded the pattern from above to make a wrap using fun fur with a gold metallic thread to dress the wrap up.
Ruth made a felted hand knitting needle caddy.

Ok so this isn't knitted!  Darla was excited to show and share the Quilt Top she has been working on.  It was really very pretty.
The "Creative Machine Knitters" have a goal of making 100 preemie hats as their charity donation this year.  They are well on their way to making that a reality with 80 hats already made.
Judy is showing of one of MANY bags she has knitted.  She is mending from knee surgery and had lots of time to knit.  Really she must of had 10 bags if she had one, and they were all different.
This is one of the sweaters that Judy made using both her knitting machine and her hand knitting needles.  Quick & Easy and a great way to use up yarns.
LeaAnn is working on a lace project that blew me out of the water.  Those needles were no bigger then tooth picks.
Terrie is showing off a pair of socks where the gusset is knitted on the top - don't ask me how - I was LOST!  Also, she made the Mobius basket on the table from one of Cat Bordhi's books.
LeaAnn is a proud mother - as she shows off daughter Haley's felted bag with all of it's 4-H ribbons.
LeaAnn had part of the Trunk Show from "iknitiative"  The patterns can be found at LeaAnn's shop or online at www.iknitiative.com
LeaAnn did a "Tuck Stitch" demonstration on the Studio Knitting machine.  The Studio uses the Design A Knit program, which LeaAnn is synchronizing to create the textured knitting.

Michiana Machine Knitters - September Show-N-Tell
Shirley tried her hand a "Lacy Lacy"  a technique that Renda Kidwell shared at the Bonnie Triola Seminar.
Pat made a hat to donate to our Charity Collection.

Jackie knitted hats from the Charity Insert found inside "INKnitters" magazine.  If you don't subscribe and would like to find Charity Patterns go to:  www.inknitters.com and click on the "Charity Knitting" link.  You will find a 16 page print out.
Jackie also knitted a baby afghan from Janet Pace's new Plated Tuck pattern book.

Bonnie Triola 2006 Seminar
Pam, Jackie and Shirley B. attended the seminar in Erie, PA.  This was Bonnie's last seminar.  Here are some pictures:
Bonnie addressed the group and announced that Sue Jalowiec is taking over "Bonnie Triola Yarns" and introduced Sue to the audience.
No "Torch Passing" just the passing of the "Cone of Yarn" from Bonnie to Sue!

From this picture, if you look hard, you will find Sandee Cherry, Renda Kidwell, Michael Becker and Diana Burns instructing away.
Joyce Banfi was close to the "YARN" with her demonstration spot.

Mary Ann had a quiet spot outside the great hall, and enjoyed all the natural daylight and endured the warmth from the sun.
Even on day two of the seminar there was plenty of yarn to be purchased.
